ABOUT

We are advancing technological development necessary for space exploration through research on the mechanisms, dynamics, and control of spacecraft and robots.

Our laboratory conducts research on the dynamics and control of space robots orbiting in space and robots that explore planets (space exploration robots). We are working to elucidate the mechanics of robots operating in space environments and develop new mechanisms and control methods. We are also deeply involved in Japan’s space development missions, which are being advanced primarily by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). Additionally, we aim to develop university-led small satellites. Furthermore, we are actively working to apply the technologies developed through space exploration to technologies needed on Earth, such as disaster response robots.
